Description

This light blue photo frame celebrates a first grandson. The words 'Our First Grandson' are printed across its deep block base, with 'beautiful little baby' written beneath in a soft, handwritten script. A small silver-coloured teddy bear sits at one end of the base, with a tiny blue sparkle at its middle for a gentle nursery touch. The frame takes a 6 x 4in photograph held landscape behind a clear front panel that rises from the base. With no mount, your picture fills the whole opening. It stands 14.5cm high, 15.4cm wide and 4cm deep, a neat size for a shelf or a bedside table.

Because it is freestanding, it needs no wall and no nail. The deep block base keeps it steady on a mantelpiece, a dresser, a windowsill or a chest of drawers. The pale blue and silver tones suit a nursery or a calm bedroom, and it sits just as comfortably in a living room among other family photographs. The printed words make it a keepsake for a first grandson's earliest pictures, whether he is fast asleep, wide awake or being held for the very first time. Choose a close portrait and the soft colours of the frame let his face do the talking.

The frame is made from MDF with a light blue finish. The lettering and the little teddy bear sit on the front of the base, where they are seen at a glance. To care for it, dust it with a soft dry cloth and wipe the clear panel gently with a barely damp cloth. Keep water away from the MDF and keep the frame out of steamy or damp spots. We like to slip a favourite photograph in before wrapping it, so it is ready to stand on a shelf the moment it is opened, a small keepsake the whole family will want to look at.
