Description

The Firenze is a traditional table lamp built around an ornately carved resin base finished in warm gold, topped with a pleated white fabric shade. The base takes the form of a classical urn with relief petal motifs on the body and a turned stem, set on a circular plinth. A single E14 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the shade, casting diffused light through the pleated fabric.

Designed for bedside tables, hall console tables and traditional living room side tables, the Firenze pairs ambient task lighting with decorative presence. The 240mm diameter shade provides enough spread for reading without overwhelming a typical bedside table surface. The gold finish on the resin base shows areas of darker antiquing in the carved recesses, giving the piece a layered tonal quality that reads as aged metalwork rather than flat colour.

The pleated fabric shade sits on a wire frame that clips onto the bulb holder, making it straightforward to replace if needed. The resin construction keeps the lamp lighter than a comparable brass or ceramic piece, making it easier to move between rooms or reposition on a table. What bulb does the Firenze take?

The lamp takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K for bedside reading.

Is the lamp dimmable?

No. The Firenze does not support dimmer switching. If dimming is needed, a smart bulb with app-controlled brightness can be used in the E14 fitting.

Can the shade be replaced?

Yes. The pleated fabric shade clips onto the bulb holder via a wire frame. Replacement shades with E14 clip-on fittings and similar dimensions can be sourced if the original shade becomes damaged or discoloured.

What rooms is the IP20 rating suitable for?

IP20 means the lamp is protected against solid objects larger than 12.5mm but has no moisture protection. Suitable for bedrooms, living rooms, studies and dry hallways. Not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens or conservatories where steam or condensation is present.
