Description
The Fiorella is a 110cm circular wall sculpture cut from punched stainless steel, finished in glossy gold plating on the outer organic edges and chrome plating on the inner cutwork. The abstract floral pattern is formed by overlapping curved sections and circular voids, creating depth through the layered metal construction rather than a flat silhouette. The combined weight of 16.8kg and 4cm projection from the wall give the piece substantial physical presence.
Designed to hang above a fireplace mantel, in a formal entrance hall, or as a central statement on a feature wall in living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Fiorella works best against solid-colour painted walls or textured stone where the metallic reflections have contrast to play against. The dual-finish approach — warm gold on the outer petals and cool chrome on the inner lattice — means the piece shifts tone depending on viewing angle and lighting conditions throughout the day.
The sculpture is fabricated from stainless steel sheet that has been laser-cut, punched with the circular and curved apertures, then electroplated and hand-polished to achieve the high-gloss finish. The glossy surface acts as a diffuse mirror, softening reflections rather than producing sharp images. Fiorella ships with a concealed hanging bracket on the reverse and can be oriented in any rotational position on the wall, though the composition reads most naturally when one of the larger petal sections sits at the top.

Frequently Asked
How is the Fiorella mounted?
The sculpture ships with a concealed hanging bracket fixed to the reverse. The bracket hooks onto a wall-mounted screw or appropriate fixing for the wall type. At 16.8kg, the piece requires a secure fixing into a wall stud, solid masonry, or plasterboard with a heavy-duty cavity anchor rated to at least 20kg.
Can the orientation be changed once hung?
Yes. The circular form means there is no single correct orientation. The piece can be rotated to any position that suits the wall space and viewing angle, though the composition reads most naturally with one of the larger petal elements at the top.
How is the glossy finish maintained?
The electroplated stainless steel can be wiped with a soft, dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid household glass cleaners, polishes, or abrasive cloths as these can dull the glossy plating over time.
What wall colour works best behind it?
The dual gold and chrome finish reads most clearly against solid matt colours — deep greys, charcoal, navy, or off-whites. On patterned wallpaper or busy-textured surfaces the cutwork detail can become visually lost. The reflective surfaces also benefit from being positioned where they catch indirect daylight or wall-wash lighting rather than harsh direct downlights.
