Description

The Finsbury Park is a 2 light wall light built on a circular polished nickel backplate with two curved brass arms, each topped with a cut-glass sconce and a candle bulb holder. Two hand-cut crystal droplets hang beneath each arm, catching and refracting light from the bulbs above. The frame is solid cast brass with a polished nickel plating that gives a bright, reflective finish.

Designed for hallways, dining rooms and bedroom accent lighting, the Finsbury Park provides candle-style ambient light at mid-wall height. Each arm takes a single SES (E14) candle bulb up to 60W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or traditional filament bulbs. The glass sconces sit above each bulb holder, acting as decorative detail rather than diffusers, so most light is cast upward and outward from the candle flame shape. The backplate diameter of approximately 140mm and the 280mm projection suit walls with clearance for doors and furniture.

The cut-glass sconces are press-moulded with a ribbed pattern that fragments light into soft highlights when the bulbs are lit. The crystal droplets are individually hand-cut and faceted, so each reflects light differently depending on viewing angle. The polished nickel finish on the brass frame contrasts cleanly against painted walls in whites, greys and pastels, and pairs with chrome or nickel hardware elsewhere in the room. Optional handmade fabric shades are available separately to soften the light output if the bare candle bulb aesthetic is too bright for the space.

The fitting takes two SES (E14) small Edison screw candle bulbs, each up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to replicate the traditional candle aesthetic without the heat or running cost of halogen.

Can shades be added?

Yes. Elstead produces optional handmade fabric shades designed to clip onto the bulb holder below the glass sconce. This softens the light output and reduces glare if the bare candle bulb is too bright for evening use. Contact us for shade availability and fitting instructions.

Dimming depends on the bulb choice. LED candle bulbs marked as dimmable will work with compatible trailing-edge dimmers. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will flicker or fail to dim. If dimming is required, confirm bulb compatibility before installation.
