Fiji Lens 69mm 38 Degree - Chrome

This is an accessory rather than a light in its own right: a round optic lens, 69mm across and shallow in depth, finished in chrome to match the Fiji track heads. It carries no wiring and no lamp of its own; the light comes from the fitting it works with, and the lens shapes the beam that leaves it. The result is a tighter, more directed cone rather than a broad wash. It suits heads rated up to 30W, and we keep it on the shelf as a small part with an outsized effect.

It earns its place wherever a track head is doing precise work: a picture on a hallway wall, a run of open shelving, a display case, a single stretch of worktop. If your track is already up and the light is landing wider than you wanted, spilling onto the walls either side of the thing you meant to light, this is the part that pulls it back in. It is equally useful in a shop or studio, where several heads on one track need to read as separate pools of light rather than merge into one another.

The optic sits behind a bright chrome face, so it reads as part of the head rather than an addition bolted on. Handle it by the edge where you can; fingerprints across the optic soften the beam more than you would expect. A soft lint-free cloth is enough for dust and smears, and we would keep metal polishes and solvents well away from both the optic and the chrome. It is intended for dry indoor rooms. The Fiji heads themselves are stocked in black and white, in single circuit and three circuit versions and in warmer and cooler light, so you can choose the head for the room and add this lens only where the beam needs narrowing. Sold singly, one lens per head.

What does this lens actually do?

It narrows and tidies the beam from a compatible Fiji track head, giving a 38 degree cone of light instead of a wider spread. It does not change the brightness of the head, only the shape of the light it throws.

How big is it?

It measures 69mm in diameter and 34.2mm deep, weighing 0.2kg.

Does it need wiring or its own lamp?

No. It is a non-electrical part with no lamp and no connection of its own. The light source belongs to the track head it works with, which should be rated no higher than 30W.

How should I clean it?

Wipe the chrome face and the optic with a soft lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive creams, polishes and solvents, and try to handle the lens by its rim so the optic stays clear of fingerprints.

Can I use it outdoors or in a bathroom?

We would keep it to dry indoor rooms. It is not made for exposed or wet locations.

Do I need one per light?

Yes. Each lens serves a single head, so order one for every head you want narrowed.
