Description

This is an optic accessory rather than a light in its own right: a round lens with a chrome finish that gathers the output of a Fiji track spotlight into a tighter, more directed beam. At 50mm across it sits within the head of the fitting it serves, and it is shallow enough to leave the outline of the spotlight much as it was. We keep lenses like this one next to the spotlights themselves, because the difference between a broad wash and a controlled pool of light is often the only change a lighting scheme needs.

Narrow optics of this sort earn their place in retail bays, showrooms, galleries and hotel foyers, where the job is to put light on a chosen object and let the surroundings fall away. At home the same logic applies to a run of track over an island, a shelf of ceramics or a painting on a long wall. It is one we reach for when a spotlight is spilling light well past the thing it is meant to be lighting, and it gives that control without moving the track or swapping the fitting.

The finish is chrome, which keeps it consistent with the brightwork of the heads it works alongside. Cleaning wants a dry cloth and nothing else: detergents can mark an optical surface, and a coarse pad will leave fine scratches that show up in the beam. It carries a one year warranty.
