A lens is a quiet piece of kit, and this one does a single job well. It is a shallow disc, 50mm across, finished in chrome so it sits discreetly at the front of a Fiji track spotlight. Fit it and the light draws in to a tight, well defined beam with a crisp edge instead of the wider spread the spot gives on its own.

We reach for a lens like this when a track scheme needs to pick something out rather than light everything evenly: a painting, a shelf of stock, a run of glasses behind a bar, one piece of furniture in a showroom. It suits retail and gallery work, and it earns its place at home too, over an island or along a wall of framed prints where the general lighting is already sorted. Because it lifts out and drops back in, you can set a scheme up, live with it for a while, then change the projection later without disturbing the track or the head.
