The Fesessa is a compact LED wall light: a squared black aluminium base carrying a curved, frosted white plastic shade, which sweeps out beyond the base at both ends. It is 20cm long and 10.5cm high, and it stands just 6cm out from the wall, so it keeps a low profile in a hallway or beside a doorway where a deeper fitting would catch a sleeve. The light comes from an integrated LED of 5.6W giving 680lm at 3000K, a warm white, and because the LED is part of the light itself, there is no bulb to buy or change. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room.

We would put one in a hallway, on a landing, either side of a bed or along a living room wall: anywhere dry that wants a soft, warm wash of light rather than a bright overhead glare. The black base reads crisply against pale or grey walls, and the satin finish of the shade diffuses the light from the LED rather than showing a bare point of light. A pair works well flanking a hall mirror, a sideboard or a doorway, and the slim projection keeps them clear of passing traffic in narrow spaces. It is not dimmable, so it suits a room where one steady level of light, worked from a wall switch, is all you need.

The body is aluminium, a light metal that does not rust, in a black finish, and the shade is plastic with a satin finish. There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall and runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains. It carries energy class E and weighs 0.674KG packed.
