Description
The Fernhaven wall light stands 300mm tall on a straight vintage brass arm with white marble, and at 100mm wide with a 175mm projection it is the narrowest of the Fernhaven wall lights. That slim profile is the point: it fits a tight run of wall, a chimney breast return or the space beside a doorway where a broader fitting would look crowded. One E14 LED lamp at 7W does the lighting, and the whole thing weighs 0.6kg.
Narrow wall lights come into their own in halls and along landings, where they can be spaced in a line without eating into the walkway, and in bedrooms where the wall between a bedhead and a window is short. A wall sconce this slim also sits happily in the return beside a chimney breast, which is often only a few hundred millimetres wide. The shade holds the lamp out of direct view, so the light falls as a soft column rather than a glare, and it is dimmable with a compatible LED lamp and dimmer switch. We reach for this one when the wall is too narrow to take anything else.
The arm and backplate are metal in a vintage brass finish, warm and gently aged, with white marble giving a cool matt contrast. Keep a dry soft cloth for both, and keep acidic cleaners away from the stone, as vinegar and citrus based sprays etch marble permanently. Because the marble is natural stone the veining differs from one fitting to the next. The rating is IP20, so dry rooms only. Matching Fernhaven table and floor lamps use the same brass and marble.

Frequently Asked
How wide is the Fernhaven wall light?
100mm, with a height of 300mm and a projection of 175mm, making it the slimmest of the Fernhaven wall lights.
What is it made from?
A metal arm and backplate in a vintage brass finish with white marble, under a shade.
How should I clean the marble?
Dry soft cloth first, barely damp for marks. Avoid vinegar, lemon and acidic sprays, which etch stone and cannot be polished out.
What bulb does it use?
One E14 lamp at up to 7W, dimmable with a dimmable LED lamp and a compatible dimmer switch.
Can I fit several in a row?
Yes, and the narrow width helps. Space them evenly along a hall or landing and mount them all at the same height.
