Description

The Felix is a 76cm brass picture light with an integrated 8W LED running at 3000K, mounted on a curved brass backplate that projects 180mm from the wall. The LED sits inside a tubular brass housing that directs warm white light downward onto the surface below, typically a framed artwork, mirror or architectural detail.

Designed for living rooms, hallways, dining rooms and home galleries, the Felix is mounted above the frame or mirror it illuminates, with the curved arm allowing the light to clear the top edge and cast evenly across the surface. The 76cm length suits medium to large frames (typically 60-90cm wide), providing coverage without spill light beyond the frame edges. The brass backplate fixes to a standard wall surface with two mounting points concealed behind the curved arm.

The polished brass finish reflects ambient room light and pairs with both traditional gilt frames and warmer contemporary interiors. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and rated IP20 for dry indoor use only. The 8W output and 3000K colour temperature produce a warm white light that renders skin tones and warmer paint colours accurately without the cooler blue cast of daylight-temperature LEDs. The tubular housing runs the full 76cm length, giving a linear light source rather than a point source, which reduces shadowing on textured surfaces.

Frequently Asked

What size frame or mirror does this suit?

The 76cm length works best with frames or mirrors between 60cm and 90cm wide. For narrower frames the light may spill beyond the edges; for wider frames you may need two picture lights or a longer model.

Is the Felix dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed 8W output and cannot be dimmed. This provides consistent illumination but lacks the flexibility of dimmable models.

How far does it project from the wall?

The curved arm projects 180mm from the wall mounting surface. This allows the light to clear most standard frame depths (typically 30-50mm) and cast downward onto the artwork or mirror without obstruction.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Felix is designed for dry indoor use only and is not protected against moisture. It is not suitable for bathrooms or other humid environments.
