Description

The Felix is a 76cm LED picture light with an antique brass cylindrical tube housing an integrated 8W 3000K LED strip. The fitting mounts on a rectangular backplate with two curved support arms that position the light bar 180mm from the wall, angling the beam downward across the surface of artwork, mirrors or framed prints below.

Designed for frames and mirrors between 60-90cm wide, the Felix directs warm white light from above the frame onto the surface, reducing glare and highlighting colour and texture without washing out fine detail. The 3000K colour temperature sits in the warm white range, matching incandescent and halogen picture lights while drawing only 8W from mains power. The fitting is typically mounted 5-10cm above the frame edge and wired into a dedicated picture light circuit or a nearby wall socket via a plug transformer.

The antique brass finish is a brushed, aged brass with darker tonal variation that pairs well with gold-toned frames, traditional oil paintings and classical interiors. The cylindrical tube design keeps the light source concealed from direct view when standing in front of the artwork, directing all light output downward rather than into the room. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations away from bathrooms and kitchens where moisture is present.

What frame width does the Felix suit?

The 76cm bar length works best with frames and mirrors between 60-90cm wide. For narrower frames the light may overhang the edges; for wider frames consider two smaller picture lights or a longer model.

Can the Felix be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimmer compatibility. The light operates at full 8W output when switched on.

How is it installed?

The backplate screws to the wall 5-10cm above the top edge of the frame. The fitting can be hardwired into a picture light circuit or connected via a plug transformer to a nearby socket. An electrician may be required for hardwired installation.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Felix to dry indoor rooms only. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher due to moisture.
