Description

The Felix is a 46cm LED picture light built around an integrated 4.5W LED strip housed inside an antique brass tubular arm. The LED casts warm 3000K light downward onto artwork positioned directly below the mounting point, with a 180mm projection from the wall ensuring the light bar sits far enough forward to illuminate the full width of a painting or photograph without creating harsh shadows.

Designed for medium-sized artwork between 40cm and 60cm wide, the Felix suits residential gallery walls, hallways displaying framed photography, and commercial settings where focused artwork illumination is needed without separate spotlights. The antique brass finish carries a muted patina that pairs with traditional, transitional and warm-toned contemporary interiors. The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to indoor use in dry rooms.

The two curved brass arms rising from the rectangular backplate give the fitting a classical picture-light profile that has been standard in galleries for decades. The integrated LED cannot be replaced or upgraded, but the 4.5W output at 3000K provides sufficient brightness for most oil paintings, watercolours and photography without creating glare on glazed frames. The fitting mounts directly to the wall using the backplate and includes the mounting hardware.

What size artwork does the Felix suit?

The 46cm width suits artwork between 40cm and 60cm wide. For narrower pieces the light may overspill; for wider pieces a longer picture light or multiple fittings may give more even coverage.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 4.5W LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for tens of thousands of hours under normal use, typically outlasting the decorative lifespan of the fitting itself.

Can the Felix be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED operates at fixed 4.5W output on standard 230V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches.
