Falmouth 3 Light Semi Flush Ceiling Light - French Gold with White Shade

The Falmouth is a 3 light semi-flush ceiling fitting with a French gold-finished metal frame shaped into a heart motif, paired with a 400mm diameter white fabric drum shade. The fitting includes three G9 LED bulbs at 3W each, pre-installed and casting 3000K warm white light through the white acrylic diffuser beneath the shade. The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, as well as kitchens and hallways where moisture resistance matters.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.8m, the Falmouth projects 425mm from the ceiling, sitting closer than a full pendant but providing more presence than a flush mount. The semi-flush configuration suits bedroom centres, hallway landings, en-suite bathrooms and smaller living rooms where a standard pendant would hang too low. The heart-shaped frame rises from the ceiling plate and curves out to support the shade, creating a three-dimensional profile visible from below.

The French gold finish on the metalwork sits between polished brass and antique brass in tone — warmer than chrome but less aged than oil-rubbed finishes — and pairs with both traditional interiors and warmer-toned contemporary schemes. The white fabric shade softens the light output and prevents glare, while the acrylic diffuser at the base distributes the LED illumination evenly across the 400mm diameter. The combined metal frame and fabric shade give the fitting a 1.2kg weight, requiring standard ceiling fixings into a joist or plasterboard anchor rated for the load.

Can this be fitted in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, which covers the area above the bath or shower enclosure beyond 600mm from the water source, and the general bathroom area outside zone 1. It cannot be installed directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure (zone 1).

Are the bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The fitting includes three G9 LED bulbs at 3W each, rated at 3000K. If a bulb fails, replacement G9 LEDs are widely available. The shade and diffuser can be removed to access the bulb sockets.

What ceiling height does this suit?

The 425mm projection works best in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.8m. In lower-ceilinged rooms (under 2.4m) the fitting may feel too prominent; in very high-ceilinged rooms (over 3m) a longer pendant would provide better scale.

Is the fitting dimmable?

The included G9 LED bulbs are not dimmable. If dimming is required, the bulbs can be replaced with dimmable G9 LEDs and the fitting connected to a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer on the mains circuit.
