Description

The Fad is an LED desk lamp with a circular matt black metal head that rotates 340° horizontally and tilts 90° vertically on an adjustable arm. An integrated 8W LED sits behind a matt acrylic diffuser, casting 3000K warm white light that can be dimmed using the touch control on the base. The lamp stands 47cm tall with a 16cm diameter weighted circular base.

Designed as task lighting for desks, workbenches and bedside tables, the Fad provides directed light that can be repositioned without moving the base. The 340° rotation allows the head to swing from side to side across a workspace, while the 90° vertical tilt ranges from horizontal to nearly vertical, suitable for reading, close work or general ambient wash light. The dimmer allows output to be reduced from full brightness to a low night-light level.

The matt black powder-coated finish on the metal frame resists fingerprints and glare under overhead lighting. The acrylic diffuser softens the LED output to reduce glare on screens and glossy surfaces. The weighted base provides stability on desks and narrow bedside tables without requiring a clamp or edge-fixing. The IP20 rating limits the lamp to dry indoor use.

Frequently Asked

How is the lamp dimmed?

The Fad includes a touch-sensitive dimmer control on the circular base. Tap to turn on, tap and hold to adjust brightness from full output to a low ambient level, tap again to turn off.

What range of movement does the head have?

The lamp head rotates 340° horizontally (almost a full circle) and tilts 90° vertically from horizontal to nearly upright. This allows the light to be directed across a wide workspace or angled for reading.

Can the bulb be replaced?

No. The Fad uses an integrated 8W LED module rated at 3000K. The LED is not user-replaceable, but is rated for 30,000+ hours of typical use.

Is it stable on narrow surfaces?

The weighted 16cm circular base provides stability on most desks and bedside tables. The lamp is top-heavy when the head is extended, so ensure the base sits fully on a flat surface rather than overhanging an edge.
