Description

The Fad is a 100cm adjustable wall light built around a matt black metal arm that extends from a cylindrical wall mount to a circular LED head. The arm rotates 340° horizontally and 90° vertically on ball joints at both the wall mount and the head, allowing the 6W 3000K LED module to be directed onto a specific surface or position in the room. A dimmer switch integrated into the wall mount controls light intensity from full output down to a low glow.

Designed for bedside reading, desk task lighting, and accent lighting next to armchairs or sofas, the Fad provides directional light without needing a table lamp or floor lamp footprint. The 100cm reach allows the light to be positioned above a pillow for bedside reading, angled down onto a desk surface from a side wall, or directed onto artwork as a picture light. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor areas.

The matt black metal construction gives a low-sheen finish that minimises reflections and pairs with industrial, contemporary and minimalist interiors. The acrylic diffuser at the head spreads the LED output into an even wash rather than a hard spotlight beam, making it comfortable for close-range reading without glare. The 3000K colour temperature sits in the warm white range, closer to halogen than daylight LED. Maytoni provides a 3-year warranty on the integrated LED module and driver.

How is the dimmer controlled?

The dimmer switch is integrated into the cylindrical wall mount. Touching or pressing the control on the mount adjusts the LED output from full brightness down to a low ambient glow.

What positions can the arm be set to?

The arm rotates 340° horizontally around the wall mount and the head tilts 90° vertically. This allows the light to be directed straight out from the wall, angled down onto a surface, or swept to either side depending on the installation position.

Can it be used as a bedside reading light?

Yes. The 100cm reach and adjustable head make it well-suited for bedside reading when mounted on the wall above or to the side of the pillow. The dimmer allows the light to be lowered for ambient use or raised for focused reading.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED module is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. Maytoni provides a 3-year warranty on the LED and driver. If the module fails after the warranty period, the entire fitting would need replacing.
