Description

The Facet is a 75cm vertical crystal wall light with three E14 bulb fittings arranged along a gold-finished metal spine. Faceted crystal prisms surround each bulb position, forming a cylindrical cage that refracts light outward and downward. Each prism is cut at multiple angles, creating the characteristic faceted surface that reflects and splits light as the bulbs illuminate.

Designed for long vertical runs on stairwells, hallway walls and either side of bathroom mirrors, the 75cm height provides distributed light along the wall plane rather than a single point source. The 13cm projection from the wall allows it to sit clear of dado rails and wall panelling without extending too far into the room. The three E14 fittings take candle or golf-ball bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose warm or cool white depending on the room.

The gold finish on the metal frame has a polished appearance that pairs with warm brass, copper and traditional gilt fixtures. The crystal prisms are held in place on four horizontal bands along the frame, with the top and bottom bands securing the cylinder closed. When lit, each faceted prism catches the filament or LED point inside and scatters it across adjacent wall surfaces, creating pattern rather than uniform wash light. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry interior locations only.

What bulbs does it take?

The Facet takes three E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle or golf-ball bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for ambient hallway or stairwell lighting.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture ingress, so it cannot be used in bathroom zones 1 or 2 (within reach of showers or baths). It can be fitted in zone 3 (more than 600mm from a water source) or in dry areas of the bathroom outside the defined zones.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs you fit. If you use dimmable E14 LED bulbs, the fitting can be controlled by a compatible LED dimmer switch. Standard non-dimmable bulbs will not work with a dimmer.

What mounting does it require?

The Facet mounts to a standard UK single-gang wall box or directly to a wall surface using screws through the backplate. The mounting points and wiring instructions are detailed in the product manual linked in the Downloads section.
