Description

This wooden hanging plaque says exactly what it thinks, in big bold capitals across a mustard yellow panel. The lettering spells out the full two-word phrase, uncensored, that we politely shorten to F off, in orange-red letters outlined in gold with a deep navy drop shadow that gives them a retro, sign-painter look. A thin gold-coloured border runs around the panel, and the whole thing sits within a raised black frame. It is a neat rectangle, 22cm wide, 6cm high and 2cm deep, so it reads clearly from across a room without taking over a wall.

Hung from its ribbon, it suits any spot where you would rather raise a laugh than offer a polite welcome: a hallway wall, the space above a desk, the side of a bookcase or the inside of a door. Its slim shape slots into narrow gaps between shelves and frames, and at 2cm deep it sits close to the wall rather than jutting out. Because the wording is uncensored, it is one for grown-up spaces and for people who will enjoy the joke, so give a moment's thought to who will see it before you choose its place.

The plaque is made of wood, with a plain yellow back and an orange-red ribbon fixed at either end of the top edge on the reverse, so it hangs from a single nail or picture hook. Dust it now and then with a soft dry cloth, and keep it away from damp and direct heat, as you would any finished wooden piece. Hang it at eye level with the ribbon left on show as part of the bright, poster-style look, and if you are wrapping it for someone, make sure the humour suits them before the paper comes off.

Frequently Asked

Is the wording on the plaque censored?

No, the two-word phrase is printed in full in large capital letters. We shorten it to F off only in the product's name, so please choose its spot with that in mind.

How big is the plaque?

It measures 22cm wide, 6cm high and 2cm deep. That slim rectangle fits neatly into narrow wall spaces between shelves, frames and doorways.

How does the plaque hang?

An orange-red ribbon is fixed to the back at both ends of the top edge. It hangs from a single nail or picture hook, with the ribbon showing above the frame.

What is it made of and what colours is it?

The plaque is wooden, with a raised black frame around a mustard yellow panel. The letters are orange-red with a navy shadow, there is a thin gold-coloured border, and the back is plain yellow.

How do I look after the plaque?

Dust it gently with a soft dry cloth now and then. As with any finished wooden piece, keep it away from damp and direct heat so the colours stay bright.
