Description

The Exility track power feed is a white plastic connector that delivers DC 48V power from mains wiring to Maytoni's Exility track lighting system. The unit terminates in a 35cm cable ending in a track connector clip, bridging the gap between a ceiling rose or junction box and the first section of track rail.

Designed for installation in residential kitchens, home offices, retail spaces and hospitality environments running Maytoni track systems, the power feed allows the track to be positioned away from the ceiling outlet without visible surface wiring. The 35cm cable length accommodates most ceiling-to-track distances in standard 2.4-2.7m ceiling height rooms. The white plastic housing blends with white or light-toned ceilings and matches the finish of white Exility track rail.

The DC 48V output is specific to Maytoni's Exility track system and is not compatible with mains-voltage track systems from other manufacturers. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments — not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor installation. The 2-year warranty covers manufacturing defects but not installation damage or compatibility issues from pairing with non-Exility track components.

Is this compatible with other track lighting brands?

No. The Exility power feed outputs DC 48V and is designed exclusively for Maytoni Exility track systems. It will not work with mains-voltage track systems (230V) from other manufacturers, nor with other low-voltage track systems using different connector formats.

Can this be used in bathrooms or kitchens?

The IP20 rating means it is suitable for dry indoor environments only. It can be used in kitchens away from direct water exposure (splashbacks, sinks), but is not suitable for bathroom zones 1, 2 or 3, wet rooms, or any location where it may be exposed to moisture or steam.

What cable length is needed between ceiling and track?

The power feed has a 35cm cable from the mains connector to the track clip. This accommodates most installations where the track is mounted 20-30cm away from the ceiling outlet. If the track needs to be positioned further from the outlet, an electrician may need to extend the ceiling wiring or reposition the junction box.

Does it require professional installation?

Yes. Connecting mains power to the feed unit must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). The track clip can be fitted by the end user once the mains connection is completed and tested.
