Description

The Exility is a 100W recessed track power supply designed for 48V track lighting systems, housed in a black aluminium casing measuring 300mm long by 44mm high by 23mm wide. The unit sits recessed into the ceiling cavity rather than surface-mounted, leaving only the track rail visible below the ceiling line.

Designed for residential and commercial track lighting installations where the power supply needs to be concealed, the Exility fits into standard ceiling voids with at least 60mm clearance above the finished ceiling surface. The unit accepts AC 180-240V mains input and outputs regulated 48V DC to the track rail, supporting a total combined load of up to 100W across all connected track lights. The IP54 rating provides dust ingress protection and splash resistance, making the supply suitable for dry indoor environments including kitchens and bathrooms where occasional moisture is present but direct water contact is avoided.

The aluminium housing dissipates heat generated during operation without requiring active cooling or ventilation grilles on the ceiling surface. The black finish on the casing matches black track rail systems from Maytoni's Exility range and other manufacturers using compatible 48V track standards. Installation requires connection to mains wiring by a qualified electrician and securing the housing into the ceiling void before the track rail is clipped into place.

What ceiling void depth is needed for installation?

The power supply measures 44mm high, so a minimum ceiling void depth of 60mm is recommended to allow clearance above the unit for heat dissipation and cable connections. Deeper voids are preferable where possible.

Is this compatible with other track systems?

The Exility outputs 48V DC to the track rail. It is designed for Maytoni's Exility track range but will work with other manufacturers' 48V track systems provided the rail profile and electrical connection points are compatible. Confirm compatibility before purchasing if mixing brands.

What does the IP54 rating mean for placement?

IP54 provides protection against dust ingress and splashing water from any direction. This makes the power supply suitable for kitchens and bathrooms where occasional moisture is present, but it should not be installed in locations with direct water spray or high humidity such as directly above showers.

How many track lights can this support?

The 100W output capacity supports a combined load of up to 100W across all track lights connected to the rail. For example, ten 10W track spotlights or five 20W spotlights. Exceeding 100W total load will trip the internal overload protection.
