Description

The Exility R300 is a curved track connector for recessed track lighting systems installed into 12.5mm plasterboard ceilings. The connector forms a 300mm radius arc, allowing straight track runs to transition smoothly into curved layouts without visible joints or breaks in the electrical supply. It sits flush with the ceiling surface once plastered and finished, leaving only the black track slot visible.

Designed for residential feature lighting, retail displays and hospitality installations where track lighting needs to follow curved walls, circular ceiling details or organic room shapes, the R300 accepts standard Exility track heads and accessories along its entire arc. The 48V DC power rail runs continuously through the curve, so track heads can be positioned anywhere on the radius section and moved later without rewiring.

The aluminium body measures 445mm along its arc length, 55mm wide and 46mm deep, fitting into a plasterboard recess cut to match the 300mm radius template. The black powder-coated finish matches the rest of the Exility recessed track system, creating a continuous line when installed alongside straight sections. The IP20 rating suits dry interior environments. Installation requires the track to be fixed to ceiling joists or noggins before plasterboard is fitted and finished around it.

What radius does the R300 create?

The R300 designation indicates a 300mm radius arc. The connector itself measures 445mm along the curved length of the track, forming part of a circle with a 300mm radius from the centre point.

Can this be installed after the plasterboard is already up?

No. Recessed track systems must be installed into the ceiling structure before plasterboard is fitted. The track is fixed to joists or noggins, then the plasterboard is cut to fit around it and finished flush. Retrofitting into an existing plasterboard ceiling would require cutting out and re-plastering the affected section.

Is it compatible with other Exility track components?

Yes. The R300 radius connector works with all Exility recessed track sections, power feeds, end caps and track heads running on 48V DC. The power rail and mechanical connection are standardised across the Exility recessed range.

What's the IP rating and where can it be used?

IP20 rating means the track is suitable for dry interior environments only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms, outdoor installations or anywhere exposed to moisture.
