Description

The Exility magnetic track clamp is a black plastic surface-mount clip designed to secure Maytoni's 48V magnetic track systems to ceilings and walls. The clamp grips the track profile at intervals along the run, preventing lateral movement and maintaining alignment as magnetic spotlights are moved or repositioned along the track.

Designed for both residential and commercial installations, the clamp suits kitchens, retail spaces, galleries and offices where reconfigurable accent or task lighting is needed. Multiple clamps are used along each track run depending on length and the number of spotlights attached. The clamp mounts with two screws (not included) into plasterboard, timber battens or solid masonry with appropriate fixings.

The black finish matches Maytoni's black track profiles, creating a continuous visual line when installed. The plastic construction weighs minimal grams per clamp, so it does not add significant load to the ceiling fixing. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only.

How many clamps are needed per track length?

Maytoni recommends one clamp per metre of track as a minimum, with additional clamps placed near corners or junctions. For heavily-loaded runs with multiple spotlights, spacing clamps at 60-80cm intervals provides better support.

What fixings are required?

The clamp has two fixing holes. For plasterboard ceilings, use cavity anchors or toggle bolts. For solid masonry, use 5mm wall plugs and screws. Fixings are not included with the clamp.

Is it compatible with other magnetic track brands?

The clamp is designed specifically for Maytoni Exility magnetic track profiles. Compatibility with other manufacturers' systems is not guaranteed due to differences in track cross-section and groove dimensions.

Can it be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments only. For bathrooms, use only in Zone 3 (areas beyond 60cm from a water source). Do not use outdoors or in wet or damp locations.
