Eve 3 Light Pendant Light - Anthracite with Black Shade

The Eve is a 500mm pendant light with a black fabric drum shade suspended from a three-armed anthracite metal frame. The frame branches from a single central stem into three curved arms that connect to the shade rim, creating a Y-shaped silhouette when viewed from the side. Each of the three arms houses an E27 bulb fitting inside the shade, which sits beneath a frosted diffuser to soften the light output and reduce glare.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living room centrepieces where a larger shade diameter is needed to balance the room proportions, the Eve works in spaces with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m. The adjustable drop of 620-1500mm allows the pendant to be set at the right height for the application — typically 700-800mm above a dining table or 900-1200mm above a kitchen island depending on ceiling height. The anthracite finish on the metalwork is a mid-tone grey with a satin texture, sitting between polished chrome and matt black.

The black fabric shade has a subtle linear texture running horizontally across the exterior surface, visible when lit or viewed up close. The frosted inner diffuser prevents hotspots from the three E27 bulbs and distributes the light evenly downward and outward through the drum. The shade depth of approximately 200mm gives the fitting enough vertical presence to avoid looking compressed, while the 500mm diameter suits tables and islands in the 1.6-2.2m length range. What bulbs does it take?

The Eve takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair it with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining and living spaces. The frosted diffuser inside the shade prevents harsh shadows from filament-style bulbs.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable E27 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. LED bulbs require an LED-rated trailing-edge dimmer for smooth dimming without flicker.

What drop height suits a dining table?

For a standard dining table, the bottom of the shade typically sits 700-800mm above the table surface. In a room with 2.4m ceilings and a 750mm table height, this means setting the drop to around 850-950mm from ceiling to shade base.

How is the fabric shade cleaned?

The black fabric can be dusted with a soft dry brush or cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp microfibre cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric or using household sprays. The frosted diffuser inside can be wiped with a damp cloth when the bulbs are removed and the fitting is isolated.
