Description

The Eve is a 2-light semi-flush ceiling light built around a single 450mm oval fabric shade suspended from a polished chrome ceiling plate on a curved chrome arm. The arm sweeps in a smooth arc from the ceiling plate to the shade, holding it approximately 420mm below ceiling level. Two E27 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the shade, with the white fabric diffusing their light into a soft ambient glow.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms and hallways with standard 2.4m ceiling heights, the Eve functions as both primary and accent lighting depending on bulb choice. The semi-flush format keeps the fitting close enough to the ceiling to avoid headroom issues while the curved arm gives the design more visual interest than a direct flush mount. The white fabric shade is textured with a subtle wrinkled finish, softening reflections and preventing the chrome from dominating the aesthetic.

The polished chrome frame reflects surrounding light and pairs comfortably with cooler-toned interiors, mirrored furniture, and glass surfaces. The Eve takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient bedroom or living room lighting.

Yes, when fitted with dimmable E27 bulbs and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. The dimmer must be rated for the total wattage of the bulbs used.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 418mm drop from ceiling plate to base of shade works in rooms with 2.4m or higher ceilings. The semi-flush format keeps the fitting close enough to avoid headroom issues in standard UK room heights.

How is the shade cleaned?

The white fabric shade can be dusted with a soft brush or microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used, but avoid soaking the fabric and allow it to dry fully before switching the light back on.
