Description

The Eustoma is a 16cm pendant light with a transparent ribbed glass shade shaped like a gourd, suspended on a twisted grey fabric cable from a nickel metal canopy. The glass is moulded with vertical ribs that catch and refract light from the E14 bulb inside, creating soft linear patterns on surrounding surfaces when lit.

Designed for ambient and decorative lighting over dining tables, kitchen worktops, bedside tables and hallway consoles, the Eustoma works as a single pendant in smaller rooms or in clusters of two or three over larger surfaces. The drop is adjustable between 30cm and 143cm on installation, allowing the pendant to be set at different heights depending on ceiling height and the surface it's hung above. The twisted cable conceals the electrical run and adds texture against plain ceilings.

The ribbed glass shade measures 23cm tall by 16cm at its widest point, giving it a noticeable presence without dominating a table setting. The nickel canopy is 10cm diameter and fits standard UK ceiling roses. The transparent glass shows the bulb inside, so pairing with a decorative filament LED or candle-style bulb creates additional visual interest. The IP20 rating restricts the Eustoma to dry indoor locations — not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.

What bulb does it take?

The Eustoma takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W LED candle or filament bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient lighting.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is adjusted during installation by shortening or lengthening the twisted cable through the ceiling canopy. Once fitted and the excess cable is secured inside the ceiling void, the height is fixed unless the fitting is taken down and re-adjusted.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the Eustoma is designed for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for bathroom zones or outdoor use where moisture is present.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off at the mains before cleaning. Wipe the ribbed glass shade with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, then dry immediately to avoid water spots in the ribs.
