Description

The Eternity is a 97cm LED pendant light built around two interlocking rings in a matte gold and gold leaf finish, suspended on fine steel cables from a circular gold canopy. An integrated 64W LED strip runs along the inner curve of the smaller ring, diffused through a continuous opal acrylic lens that softens the 3,588-lumen output to ambient room light at 3000K warm white.

Designed for double-height entrance halls, open-plan living-dining spaces, and above dining tables in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.6m and 3.2m, the fixture's adjustable suspension cables allow the rings to sit between 75cm and 130cm below the ceiling rose. The two rings are offset at different angles, creating a three-dimensional sculptural form that changes appearance as you move around the room. The fixture includes a remote control for dimming and on/off operation without needing wall switches.

The combination of matte gold outer surfaces and gold leaf inner surfaces gives the rings different reflective qualities depending on viewing angle and ambient daylight. The outer matte finish reduces glare in rooms with large windows, while the gold leaf catches and reflects light from the integrated LED and other room sources. The metal and aluminium construction provides rigidity across the 97cm diameter without visible sag, and the 3.58kg weight distributes across the ceiling rose fixing rather than a single point.

The IP20 rating limits the Eternity to dry indoor locations. The Class 1 electrical rating requires an earth connection during installation. The opal diffuser hides the individual LED chips, so the light source reads as a continuous glowing arc rather than a dotted line when viewed from below.

Is the Eternity dimmable?

Yes. The fixture includes a remote control that allows dimming and on/off operation. The integrated LED driver is compatible with the supplied remote, so no wall dimmer switch is required.

What ceiling height is needed?

The suspension cables are adjustable between 75cm and 130cm below the ceiling rose. For the rings to sit comfortably above head height in a room with typical furniture, a ceiling height of at least 2.6m is recommended. The fixture works best in rooms with 2.8-3.2m ceilings.

Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling?

The fixture is designed for horizontal ceiling installation. On sloped ceilings, the rings may not hang level and the cables may not distribute weight evenly. A specialist ceiling adapter would be needed, which is not supplied with the fixture.

How is the gold leaf finish maintained?

Gold leaf is delicate and should not be wiped with abrasive cloths or chemical cleaners. Dust the rings gently with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush. For stubborn marks on the matte gold outer surfaces, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid contact with the gold leaf inner surfaces.
