Description

The Estalacta is a 1040mm vertical bathroom wall light with two GU10 bulb fittings set within cylindrical opal white glass shades, mounted on a silver metal bracket. The two shades project at right angles from a central vertical spine, creating a linear composition that runs the height of a bathroom mirror or along a vanity wall. Each shade houses a single GU10 bulb (sold separately) and the opal glass diffuses the light output to reduce glare on reflective surfaces.

Designed for bathroom zones 2 and 3 with an IP44 rating, the Estalacta suits installation above mirrors, alongside tall shower enclosures, or flanking bathroom cabinetry where vertical accent lighting is needed. The 140mm width and 110mm projection keep the fitting close to the wall, making it practical in narrower bathrooms or where wall space around mirrors is limited. The 1m height gives coverage across a full-height mirror or from ceiling height down to mid-wall level.

The silver finish on the metal bracket provides a cool-toned metallic accent that pairs with chrome taps, brushed nickel hardware and white ceramic tiles. The opal white glass has a soft translucent quality when lit, turning the shades themselves into light sources rather than simply directing bulb output. The fitting weighs 1.1kg and mounts to a standard UK wall plate via a concealed rear bracket. Dimming is possible when paired with dimmable GU10 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

What GU10 bulbs should I use?

The Estalacta takes two standard GU10 bulbs (sold separately). Most users pair this with 4-6W LED GU10 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for bathroom mirror lighting. Choose dimmable GU10 bulbs if you plan to fit a dimmer switch.

Is it suitable for bathroom zones 1, 2 or 3?

The IP44 rating makes the Estalacta suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower enclosure and bath area). It is not rated for zone 1 (inside the shower or directly above a bath) or zone 0 (submerged).

How is it mounted?

The fitting mounts to a standard UK wall plate via a concealed rear bracket. The electrical connection is made behind the central spine before the bracket is secured to the wall. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Can it be installed horizontally instead of vertically?

The Estalacta is designed for vertical installation with the 1040mm dimension running floor-to-ceiling or mirror-height. Horizontal mounting would change the visual balance and is not recommended.
