Estalacta 1 Light Floor Lamp - Silver Opal White

The Estalacta is a 1.06m floor lamp built around a slender silver satin column with an elongated opal white glass shade at the top, housing a single GU10 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately). The 150mm circular base provides stability without occupying floor space, and the vertical profile allows the lamp to fit into corners, alcoves and narrow gaps alongside furniture.

Designed for accent and task lighting rather than primary room illumination, the Estalacta suits bedrooms, home offices, living room corners and hallways where a vertical light source adds atmosphere without requiring ceiling wiring. The opal white glass diffuses the GU10 bulb output, softening the beam into ambient glow that works as bedside reading light, desk companion or architectural accent alongside shelving and room dividers. The lamp plugs into a standard 13A socket via a floor-level cable.

The silver satin finish on the metal column has a low-sheen brushed appearance that minimises reflections and fingerprints, pairing comfortably with both cool-toned contemporary interiors and warmer neutrals. The opal glass shade measures approximately 100mm diameter and extends 300mm from the top of the column, giving the lamp a total height of just over 1m. At 1.9kg the lamp is stable on carpet and hard flooring without needing additional weighting.

What bulb does it take?

The Estalacta takes a single GU10 bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a 4-6W LED GU10 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient lighting, or a higher-wattage bulb if using it as task light for reading.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit a dimmable GU10 bulb and use a compatible dimmer. The lamp itself does not include dimming circuitry, so dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulb you choose.

How stable is it on carpet?

The 150mm base and 1.9kg weight provide stability on both hard floors and short-to-medium pile carpet. On thick or shag rugs the lamp may benefit from being positioned where the base sits partially on bare floor.

Can it be used as a reading lamp?

Yes. The 1.06m height positions the light source at approximately shoulder height when seated, making it suitable for reading in an armchair or at a desk. Pair with a focused GU10 beam angle (e.g. 36°) rather than a wide flood if using it primarily for task lighting.
