Description

The Esparta is a 1530mm linear pendant built from two parallel matt black bars joined by two vertical drops, each drop housing a downward-facing LED module finished in gold. The integrated 50W LED delivers 2100 lumens at 3000K across a 120° beam angle, lighting kitchen islands, dining tables and bar counters with even warm-white coverage along the length of the fitting.

Designed for installation above surfaces where task and ambient light are both needed, the Esparta works in kitchens with islands 1200-1500mm long, dining tables seating 4-6, and commercial hospitality settings including restaurant booths and reception desks. The adjustable suspension cable allows the fitting to be set between 450mm and 1500mm drop, so it can be positioned 700-900mm above a worktop or table surface depending on ceiling height. The rectangular canopy conceals the driver and fits standard UK ceiling roses.

The matt black finish on the main frame minimises glare under daylight, while the gold interior of each LED housing reflects warm tones downward and creates a visual accent when viewed from the side. The slim 70mm width keeps the fitting visually light despite the 1530mm span, and the 1.3kg weight sits comfortably within typical plasterboard ceiling load limits without additional bracing. The non-dimmable driver simplifies installation where dimming is not required.

Is the Esparta dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver is non-dimmable and operates at full output when switched on. If dimming is required, consider an alternative model from the Mantra range or contact us for dimmable linear pendant options.

What length table or island does it suit?

The 1530mm span works best over kitchen islands or dining tables between 1200mm and 1500mm long. For longer surfaces, two Esparta fittings can be installed in series with appropriate spacing.

How far should it hang above a surface?

For kitchen islands and worktops, 700-900mm above the surface gives good task lighting without obstructing sightlines. For dining tables, 750-850mm is typical. The adjustable suspension cable accommodates ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards.

What ceiling height is needed?

With a minimum drop of 450mm and typical installation height of 700-900mm above a surface, the Esparta requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m. Lower ceilings may work if the suspension cable is shortened and the fitting is positioned closer to the surface.
