Description

The ESP Beacon reset module is a wall-mounted control unit for accessible toilet alarm systems, designed to pair with the ESP UDTA disabled toilet alarm kit. The module features a red LED indicator triangle that illuminates when the alarm is triggered, alongside an audible alert, allowing staff or carers to confirm an emergency call remotely before entering the facility.

Installed outside the accessible toilet cubicle, typically beside the door or in a corridor visible to staff, the reset module allows authorised personnel to silence the alarm and reset the system after responding to a call. The red triangle LED and audible sounder remain active until the reset button is pressed, ensuring the alert is not missed during busy periods in public buildings, care homes, hospitals or retail facilities.

The 92mm square white urea faceplate is surface-mounted using the included back box, requiring no recessing into the wall. The material is impact-resistant and suited to high-traffic commercial environments where cleaning and accidental contact are routine. The module connects to the main UDTA control panel via low-voltage cabling and operates as part of a complete toilet alarm system rather than a standalone device.

Frequently Asked

Can this module be used on its own?

No. The Beacon reset module is designed to work as part of the ESP UDTA disabled toilet alarm kit and requires connection to the main control panel. It cannot function as a standalone alarm device.

Where should the reset module be installed?

The module is typically installed outside the accessible toilet cubicle, on the corridor wall beside the door or in a location visible to staff. This allows carers or facilities personnel to see and hear the alert without entering the WC, and to reset the system after responding.

What does the red LED indicate?

The red triangle LED illuminates when the toilet alarm pull-cord or call button has been activated. It remains lit, alongside the audible sounder, until a staff member presses the reset button on this module or on the main control panel.

Is the module suitable for outdoor installation?

No. The white urea housing is designed for indoor use in commercial, healthcare and public building environments. It is not weatherproof and should not be exposed to rain or outdoor conditions.
