Description

The Eryndel is a 680mm table lamp built around a hand-carved column of natural Spanish alabaster, set on a stepped brushed brass plinth and topped with a 380mm white drum shade. Twin E27 lamp holders sit beneath the shade, each operated by its own brass pull-chain switch, allowing one or both bulbs to be lit. The shade's gold-toned interior reflects warm light back through the alabaster column when illuminated.

Designed for sideboards, console tables, bedside tables and living-room side tables, the Eryndel works as both a decorative and functional light source. The independent pull-chain switches allow the brightness to be halved for evening use without needing a dimmer. With its 380mm shade diameter and 680mm overall height, the lamp suits surfaces of around 500mm depth or greater and pairs well alongside a sofa armrest or behind a reading chair.

The alabaster column is carved with soft undulating contours that twist gently up the height of the stone, creating shifts in depth that catch and release light across the surface. Because each block of alabaster carries its own veining, no two Eryndel bases are identical. The brushed brass plinth, central stem and pull-chain weights are finished in a consistent warm tone that complements the cream-white shade and the natural ivory of the stone.

What bulbs does the Eryndel take?

The lamp uses two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K suits the alabaster and the gold-lined shade, giving a soft ambient glow when both bulbs are lit.

How are the bulbs switched?

Each E27 holder has its own brass pull-chain switch, allowing one bulb or both to be lit independently. This gives a built-in two-stage brightness without needing a separate dimmer.

Will each lamp look the same?

No. The column is carved from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. The sculpted profile is consistent, but the stone's character is unique to each lamp.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, as alabaster is porous and softer than marble.
