The Erda is a 30cm diameter spherical outdoor pendant light in white PMMA plastic, suspended on an adjustable cable from a matching white ceiling rose. The pendant takes a single E27 bulb up to 30W (sold separately) and carries an IP54 rating, providing protection against dust ingress and water spray from any direction.

Designed for covered outdoor areas such as patios, verandas, balconies and front porches where the fitting has overhead shelter from direct rain, the Erda provides ambient light through the translucent PMMA globe. The 150cm maximum drop is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set at the required height above a seating area or dining table. The IP54 rating makes it suitable for outdoor use in UK conditions where the fitting is mounted under a canopy, eave or covered porch.

The PMMA construction resists UV degradation better than standard acrylic and will not yellow over time when exposed to sunlight. IP54 means the fitting is protected against dust ingress and water spray from any direction. It is suitable for covered outdoor areas such as patios, verandas, balconies and porches where there is overhead shelter. It should not be exposed to direct rain or used in fully exposed positions without a canopy or eave above.

What bulb does it take?

The Erda takes a standard E27 Edison screw bulb up to 30W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient outdoor lighting.

Will the white plastic yellow over time outdoors?

The globe is constructed from PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate), which resists UV degradation better than standard acrylic. PMMA maintains its clarity and white finish over time when exposed to sunlight and will not yellow under normal UK outdoor conditions.

Can the cable length be adjusted?

Yes. The 150cm maximum drop is adjustable during installation, allowing the pendant to be set at the required height above a table or seating area. Once set, the cable is concealed inside the suspension tube.
