Description
The Erda is a 30cm spherical outdoor pendant light with a white PMMA plastic globe suspended from a black metal canopy on a 1.5m adjustable cable. The globe houses a single E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately, up to 30W) and carries an IP54 rating, protecting against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction.
Designed for covered outdoor areas including patios, verandas, balconies and garden pergolas, the Erda provides ambient lighting where standard indoor fittings cannot be used. The IP54 rating makes it suitable for positions exposed to rain and moisture but not for full submersion or direct pressure-washing. The 1.5m cable allows the pendant to be set at different heights during installation, typically 2-2.5m above floor level for seating areas or 1.8-2m above a dining table.
The PMMA plastic sphere is lighter and more impact-resistant than glass, making it safer for outdoor installation where wind movement or accidental contact is possible. The white globe diffuses light evenly in all directions, softening shadows under outdoor seating and creating a decorative glow when viewed from inside the house. The black metal canopy and cable give a minimalist finish that pairs with contemporary outdoor furniture and modern architectural detailing.
The E27 fitting accepts standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs. Most users pair the Erda with a warm-white LED globe bulb between 6-10W and 2700K for outdoor dining and seating areas, though higher wattages up to the 30W maximum can be used where brighter task lighting is needed for cooking or reading outdoors.

Frequently Asked
Can the Erda be used in fully exposed outdoor positions?
The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes from any direction, so the Erda is suitable for covered outdoor areas like patios, verandas and pergolas. It is not rated for full exposure to driving rain or for installation where it would be submerged or pressure-washed directly.
What bulb does it take?
The Erda takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 30W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose a warm-white LED globe bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient outdoor lighting.
Is the globe breakable?
The globe is made from PMMA plastic rather than glass, making it significantly more impact-resistant. This reduces the risk of breakage from wind movement, accidental contact or wildlife activity in outdoor settings.
How is the cable length adjusted?
The 1.5m cable is adjusted during installation by shortening the visible drop inside the canopy. The exact method is detailed in the product manual (see Downloads tab). Once installed, the drop is fixed until the fitting is taken down and re-adjusted.
