Eos Outdoor LED Ceiling/Wall Light 3W 3000K - White

The Eos is an outdoor-rated LED ceiling or wall light with a cloud-shaped body moulded from opal white polyethylene, housing an integrated 3W LED that produces 280 lumens at 3000K warm white. The organic four-lobed form projects 140mm from the wall or ceiling and mounts on a white powder-coated metal backplate. The LED casts light through the translucent polyethylene in a 120° beam angle, diffusing the output across the surface of the material rather than projecting a tight spot.

Designed for covered outdoor spaces where an IP44 rating is sufficient, the Eos suits porch ceilings, covered patios, balconies under a roof overhang, and transitional zones like a door canopy or loggia. The 222mm width and 294mm height give it enough presence to work as a solo fitting above a side door or in pairs flanking a main entrance. At 0.6kg the light can be fitted to most masonry, timber or plasterboard surfaces with appropriate fixings. The non-dimmable LED runs directly from 220-240V mains without needing an external driver or transformer.

The opal white polyethylene softens the LED point source into a general ambient glow rather than providing task or directional lighting, so the Eos functions best where you need gentle wayfinding light or a visible marker at night rather than bright illumination of a specific area. The organic sculptural form differentiates it from conventional bulkhead or disk ceiling lights, giving covered outdoor spaces a feature detail without requiring a pendant drop or complex wiring. The moulded polyethylene is impact-resistant and UV-stable, so the white finish will not yellow or crack under sustained exposure to daylight in a covered position.

What does IP44 mean and where can I use this?

IP44 provides protection against water splashes from any direction but not sustained water jets or immersion. The Eos suits covered outdoor spaces like porch ceilings, covered patios, balconies under a roof overhang, and door canopies. It is not suitable for fully exposed positions with direct rain or for bathrooms requiring IP65 or higher.

Can the Eos be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED is not dimmable and runs at fixed output from mains voltage without needing an external driver.

How bright is 280 lumens?

280 lumens at 3000K provides gentle ambient light suitable for wayfinding and marking an entrance at night, roughly equivalent to a 25-30W incandescent bulb. This is accent or marker lighting rather than area illumination, so pair with additional fittings if you need to light a larger patio or path.

Can I mount it on the ceiling or only the wall?

The Eos can be ceiling-mounted or wall-mounted. The backplate and cloud-shaped body work in either orientation, though ceiling mounting tends to give better light distribution across a covered patio area.
