Description

The Eos is a 490mm flush ceiling light moulded from opal white polyethylene in an organic cloud-like form, housing four E27 bulb sockets and an integrated Bluetooth speaker. The single-piece shade diffuses light from all four bulbs through the translucent material, while the speaker sits recessed within the base for audio playback without visible grilles or external controls.

Rated IP44, the fitting is suitable for bathrooms (zones 2 and 3), covered patios, conservatories and outdoor porches where the ceiling provides protection from direct rainfall. The speaker connects via Bluetooth to phones, tablets or other devices, allowing music, podcasts or ambient sound to play alongside the lighting. This makes the Eos practical for spa-style bathrooms, covered outdoor dining areas, and family rooms where built-in audio removes the need for separate speakers.

The polyethylene construction keeps the weight to 3kg despite the 490mm width, and the organic curves soften the visual presence on a ceiling compared to geometric flush fittings. The four E27 sockets accept any standard screw bulbs up to the fitting's total wattage limit (dependent on lamps used), including warm-white LEDs for ambient light or colour-changing smart bulbs for adjustable mood lighting. The white powder-coated metal base plate fixes directly to standard UK ceiling roses.

The shade's diffused finish produces even light distribution without visible hotspots, and the cloud-inspired form works in both contemporary and coastal interiors. Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating makes it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower enclosure and more than 600mm from the bath edge). It is not rated for zone 0 or 1 (inside or directly above the bath/shower).

How does the speaker connect?

The integrated speaker pairs via Bluetooth with phones, tablets and other Bluetooth-enabled devices. Pairing instructions are in the fitting's manual. The speaker draws power from the mains connection, so no batteries or separate charging is required.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting has four E27 (Edison screw) sockets. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 6-10W warm-white LED bulbs. The fitting also accepts colour-changing smart bulbs if you want adjustable lighting effects.

Is the fitting dimmable?

No. The fitting itself is not dimmable. If dimming is needed, choose dimmable E27 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch, but note that dimmer compatibility varies by bulb brand and model.
