Description

This ceiling light draws 18W and gives 1840 lumens, which is enough to be the main light in a room rather than a helper alongside lamps. Its white output is variable rather than fixed, so the same fitting can sit warm and low in the evening and bright and cool first thing in the morning, and the pack adds colour modes on top of the white range. It is dimmable, and the dimming happens in the app rather than at a wall plate, so there is no dimmer switch compatibility to check before you order.

The round white body sits close to the ceiling, so it suits rooms where a hanging pendant would be in the way: landings, hallways, low bedrooms, home offices, kitchens and children's rooms. A 120 degree beam is wide, which means light spreads across the ceiling and down into the corners instead of pooling in one bright circle underneath. Switched off, a plain white disc reads quietly against a white ceiling. The IP20 rating means it is built for dry indoor rooms only, so plan it into a hallway or a living space and nowhere it could get wet.

Control is over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi through the free Energizer Smart app on a phone or tablet, and the pack states that no hub is needed, which keeps the setup to the light, your router and the app. The pack also names scheduling, group control and working with Alexa, Google and Siri, so several lights can be told to change together or come on at a set hour.
