Description
The Energizer 9W LED GLS bulb combines RGB colour-changing capability with standard white light in a B22 bayonet-cap fitting. The included infrared remote control switches between 15 pre-set colours (red, green, blue, orange, yellow, cyan, pink, purple and intermediate shades) and a 4000K neutral white mode. Five intensity settings adjust brightness from a low 20% output to full 806 lumens.
Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and entertainment spaces where mood lighting is wanted without permanent installation, the bulb fits any standard B22 socket and operates on 230V mains. The remote cycles through colours individually, switches to white mode for everyday use, and includes flash, strobe and smooth transition effects for party or background ambiance. The 60mm diameter GLS (General Lighting Service) shape matches the profile of a traditional incandescent bulb, so it sits comfortably in open pendants, table lamps and ceiling fittings without protruding.
The 9W LED provides equivalent output to a 60W halogen while drawing one-seventh of the power. Energizer rates the lifespan at 15 years based on average domestic use (approximately 15,000 hours), meaning the bulb typically outlasts the fitting it's installed in. The bulb is not dimmable via a wall dimmer switch — brightness adjustment is controlled exclusively through the remote's five-step intensity function. The frosted glass envelope diffuses light evenly and conceals the internal LED array when the bulb is off.

Frequently Asked
Can the bulb be used with a wall dimmer switch?
No. The bulb is rated non-dimmable via wall switches. Brightness is controlled through the five-step intensity function on the infrared remote control. Installing this bulb on a dimmer circuit may cause flickering or damage the internal electronics.
How does the remote control work?
The infrared remote requires line-of-sight to the bulb. Point the remote at the bulb and press the colour buttons to switch between 15 RGB shades, or press 'W' for neutral white. The intensity buttons step brightness up or down through five levels. Flash, strobe and smooth transition effects are also available via dedicated buttons.
What's the white light colour temperature?
The white mode outputs 4000K neutral white at 806 lumens. This sits between warm white (2700K) and cool white (5000K+), making it suitable for general task lighting, kitchens and workspaces where clear visibility is needed without the yellow cast of warm white.
Can multiple bulbs be controlled by one remote?
Yes. The infrared signal will operate any Energizer colour-changing bulb within range and line-of-sight, so multiple bulbs in the same room will respond to the same remote. There is no pairing or addressing — all bulbs in range change together.
