Description

The Energizer 9.7W LED GLS bulb combines RGB colour-changing technology with standard white light in a single E27 screw-fit package. The bulb outputs 806 lumens in white mode at 4000K (neutral white) and cycles through 15 preset colours including red, green, blue, orange, yellow, cyan, magenta and purple variations. An infrared remote control switches between colours, white mode, and five brightness levels.

Designed for residential use in table lamps, floor lamps and ceiling pendants with standard E27 lamp holders, the bulb replaces traditional 60W halogen GLS bulbs while drawing 9.7W. The colour-changing function suits mood lighting in living rooms, children's bedrooms, home bars and creative studios where the lighting needs to adapt to different activities or atmospheres. The remote control operates from approximately 5-8 metres line-of-sight to the bulb, eliminating the need to approach the fitting to change settings.

The bulb measures 110mm tall by 60mm diameter, fitting most standard GLS-compatible lamp shades and fixtures. The white plastic housing and diffuser distribute light evenly in all directions when used without a shade, or project light downward and sideways when fitted inside a traditional fabric or glass shade. The remote includes flash, strobe and smooth transition modes for dynamic colour effects, plus four speed settings for transitions. Rated at 15,000 hours lifespan at typical usage, the bulb runs cooler than halogen equivalents and requires no warm-up time.

Is the bulb dimmable with a wall dimmer switch?

No. The bulb is not compatible with mains dimmer switches. Brightness adjustment is controlled via the remote control only, which offers five preset intensity levels in both white and colour modes.

What colours are available?

The bulb cycles through 15 preset colours including primary RGB (red, green, blue), secondary colours (cyan, magenta, yellow, orange), and variations of each. The remote control also provides a 4000K neutral white mode for standard task lighting.

Does the remote require batteries?

Yes. The infrared remote control typically uses a coin cell battery (CR2025 or similar). Check the battery compartment on the reverse of the remote when delivered.

Can multiple bulbs be controlled by one remote?

Yes. The infrared signal from the remote will control all Energizer RGB bulbs within line-of-sight range (typically 5-8 metres). All bulbs will change to the same colour and brightness setting simultaneously.
