Description
The Emery is a 1333mm-wide island pendant carrying three E27 bulb fittings (sold separately), each housed in a weathered brass shade with a prismatic glass lens at the base. The three shades hang from a horizontal bar suspended on two vertical rods and chain links from a rectangular canopy, giving an adjustable drop between 730mm and 1984mm at installation.
Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars where task and ambient light are needed across a wide surface, the Emery spreads its three light sources evenly along its 1.3m span. Each shade is 343mm in diameter, creating downward-focused pools of light while the prismatic glass diffuses the bulb glare and softens shadows. The horizontal bar structure suits rectangular worktops and dining tables better than clustered pendant arrangements, and the weathered brass finish pairs with warm wood tones, aged metals and traditional or industrial interiors.
The weathered brass is a factory-applied patina finish that replicates the tonal variation of naturally aged brass, with darker recesses and lighter raised surfaces. This gives the fitting a lived-in character rather than the high polish of new metalwork. The metal frame is rated to 60W per socket, allowing halogen, LED or decorative filament bulbs to be used depending on the light level and aesthetic needed. The drop is set at installation by shortening the chain and rod assembly, and cannot be adjusted after fitting without re-accessing the ceiling void.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Emery take?
Each of the three shades takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for kitchen and dining use.
What ceiling height is needed?
The minimum drop of 730mm means the pendant sits approximately 730mm below the ceiling rose at its shortest setting. For a kitchen island or dining table, allow 700-900mm clearance above the worktop or table surface, which typically requires ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The maximum drop of 1984mm suits higher ceilings or vaulted spaces.
How wide a surface does it cover?
The 1333mm width suits kitchen islands and dining tables between 1.6m and 2.4m long. For shorter surfaces the pendant may overhang; for longer surfaces a second pendant or different light arrangement may be needed.
Is the drop adjustable after installation?
The drop is set during installation by shortening the chain and rod assembly. Once the ceiling rose is closed and the pendant is wired, the drop cannot be changed without re-accessing the ceiling void and removing the canopy.
