Emery 1 Light Medium Pendant - Imperial Silver

The Emery is a 343mm single-pendant light from Quoizel with an imperial silver metal shade, a prismatic glass lens at the base, and an E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately). The shade is spun from steel and finished in a high-polish imperial silver that reflects light back into the space while the prismatic lens at the base diffuses the bulb output to reduce glare and spread illumination evenly below the fitting.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, dining tables and peninsulas where task and ambient lighting overlap, the Emery pendant provides downward-directed light without harsh spotlighting. The adjustable drop ranges from 377mm to 1277mm on installation, allowing the pendant to be set 600-800mm above a worktop or 700-900mm above a dining table depending on ceiling height. The 343mm diameter shade gives adequate coverage over a single work zone or one end of a dining table without overwhelming smaller kitchens.

The imperial silver finish is a cool-toned metallic with higher reflectivity than brushed or satin silver, giving sharper light reflections and a more polished appearance that suits both modern and traditional interiors. The metal shade construction is heavier and more durable than aluminium or thin pressed steel, and the prismatic lens is replaceable if damaged. The Emery accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 60W, giving flexibility to choose the colour temperature and brightness that suits the room.

What bulb does the Emery take?

The fitting takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for kitchen or dining use.

What does the prismatic lens do?

The prismatic glass lens at the base of the shade diffuses the light from the bulb, reducing glare and spreading illumination more evenly across the surface below. This makes the pendant suitable for task lighting over worktops without creating harsh shadows or bright spots.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 377mm to 1277mm. For a kitchen island or dining table, the pendant typically sits 600-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the Emery if the drop is shortened during installation.

Can multiple Emery pendants be used together?

Yes. Multiple Emery pendants can be installed in a row over a long kitchen island or dining table. Spacing them 800-1000mm apart on centre gives even coverage without clustering. Each pendant requires a separate ceiling rose and wiring point.
