Description

The Emblaze is a 15-light chandelier built as a molecular cluster of polished chrome spherical shades radiating from a central chrome stem. Each sphere is a hollow chrome-plated globe with an E14 bulb fitting inside, giving the appearance of 15 mirrored baubles suspended in mid-air on branching chrome arms. The 1050mm diameter spread creates a substantial presence over dining tables, kitchen islands and double-height entrance halls.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Emblaze works best in positions where the full cluster can be viewed from below and from the sides, a centrepiece over a 2-3m dining table or a feature in a double-height hallway. The dimmable circuit allows the light level to be adjusted from full brightness for task lighting during meal preparation to a softer glow for evening dining. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light during the day and multiplies the bulb glow when lit, creating a scattered, sparkling effect across the room.

The 580mm height from canopy to the base of the lowest sphere means the fitting drops approximately 600-700mm below the ceiling rose once the suspension cable is accounted for. This positions the lower spheres around 2000-2100mm above floor level in a typical 2.7m-height room, keeping the fitting clear of head height while maintaining visual impact. The chrome spheres are solid metal construction rather than glass, giving the fitting durability in high-traffic areas. Each of the 15 E14 bulbs is sold separately, allowing choice of filament, LED or halogen and control over colour temperature and total light output.

What bulbs does the Emblaze take?

Each of the 15 arms takes a standard E14 small Edison screw bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs for a combined output of 60-90W equivalent, though filament bulbs also work well for a vintage look.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, the Emblaze is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. Check that your chosen bulbs specify dimmer compatibility before purchase.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 580mm fitting height plus suspension cable typically results in a 600-700mm drop below the ceiling rose. In a 2.7m-height room this positions the lower spheres around 2000-2100mm above floor level, keeping the fitting clear of head height. Lower ceilings may require the cable to be shortened on installation.

How is the chrome finish maintained?

Polished chrome can be wiped with a soft, dry microfibre cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the metal or using abrasive polishes that can scratch the plating.
