Description

The Emberlux is a 40cm square recessed downlight with a matte white metal frame and a single GU10 bulb fitting. The 60mm length and 60mm projection give the fitting a low-profile presence suitable for ceilings with limited void depth, where a deeper recessed light would not fit. The square aperture directs light downwards with minimal spill onto the ceiling plane.

Designed for kitchens, hallways, bathrooms (IP20 rated, suitable for zones outside splash areas) and office spaces needing directed task light without the visual presence of a surface-mounted fitting, the Emberlux works in both domestic and commercial installations. The dimmable GU10 fitting allows intensity to be adjusted between bright task lighting for food preparation or desk work and softer ambient light for evening use. The white finish blends into white or light-toned ceilings, while the metal frame provides structural rigidity during installation.

The 40cm square footprint means the Emberlux needs a ceiling void of at least 70mm depth to accommodate the fitting body and GU10 bulb. A minimum 70mm ceiling void depth is required to accommodate the 60mm fitting body plus the GU10 bulb. Shallower voids cannot accept this fitting without the bulb protruding below the ceiling line.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming, but the bulb must also be rated as dimmable.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the Emberlux is suitable for bathroom zones outside splash areas (typically Zone 3 or beyond, more than 600mm from a bath or shower). It is not rated for direct water contact or high-moisture areas.
