Emberlit 24 Light Crystal Chandelier - Chrome

The Emberlit is a 780mm diameter crystal chandelier built on a tiered polished chrome frame, carrying 24 E14 bulb fittings across two main crystal-dressed tiers and a cascading lower tier of cut crystal droplets. Each tier consists of a chrome ring onto which strands of faceted crystal beads and larger elongated crystal drops are hung, creating layers of refraction that multiply and scatter light when the chandelier is lit.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height living spaces with ceiling heights above 2.7m, the Emberlit works as both a light source and a focal decorative feature. The 24 E14 bulbs (sold separately) provide substantial output when fitted with warm-white LEDs in the 4-6W range, while the dimmable function allows the brightness to be reduced for evening dining or ambient lighting. The chandelier requires a dimmer switch compatible with the specific bulb type chosen.

The polished chrome frame gives high reflectivity that amplifies the crystal sparkle effect, while the multi-tiered structure prevents the fitting from appearing as a single flat disc when viewed from below. The total drop from ceiling to the lowest crystal point is approximately 550mm, with the upper tier forming a shallow dome that sits close to the ceiling plate. The IP20 rating restricts installation to dry indoor locations only.

Each crystal element is individually hung on the chrome framework, so cleaning involves wiping each bead and drop with a dry microfibre cloth — this is time-intensive but necessary to maintain the refraction quality. The combined weight of the chrome frame and crystal elements requires a ceiling joist or reinforced fixing point capable of supporting at least 8-10kg.

What bulbs does the Emberlit take?

The chandelier takes 24 E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs in the 4-6W range at 2700K-3000K colour temperature, which provides ample output without excessive heat build-up across 24 fittings.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, but dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb type you choose. LED bulbs require a trailing-edge dimmer, while older incandescent or halogen bulbs work with standard leading-edge dimmers. Confirm your dimmer type before installation.

What ceiling height is needed?

The chandelier has an approximate 550mm drop from ceiling plate to the lowest crystal point. To allow clearance of 2.1m above floor level, a minimum ceiling height of 2.7m is recommended. Higher ceilings of 3m or above suit the scale better.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Each crystal bead and drop needs to be wiped individually with a dry, lint-free microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome frame or letting water pool inside the bulb fittings. Do not use glass cleaners or sprays containing ammonia.
