Description

The Emberfield is a single-head ceiling spotlight comprising a brushed brass cylindrical head (55mm diameter, 100mm length) mounted on a matt black surface-fixed base. The head houses a single GU10 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately) and pivots on a brass-bushed joint, allowing the beam to be directed across walls, onto work surfaces, or downwards for localised task lighting.

Designed for kitchens, hallways, home offices and retail environments where directed accent or task lighting is needed, the Emberfield can be surface-mounted to standard plasterboard or masonry ceilings and requires only basic mains wiring into the black ceiling plate. The GU10 fitting accepts LED, halogen or low-energy bulbs up to 50W, with most users pairing this with a 5-7W LED spot for focused beam control. The spotlight is dimmable when paired with a compatible GU10 dimmable bulb and dimmer module.

The brushed brass finish has a low-sheen satin texture that reduces glare and fingerprints compared to polished brass, and pairs comfortably with both warm-toned traditional interiors and contemporary schemes using brass as an accent metal. The 55mm head diameter makes the fitting visually unobtrusive on a ceiling while providing enough presence to balance in rooms with 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas — the Emberfield is not suitable for bathrooms, shower rooms or outdoor canopies.

No. The Emberfield takes a standard GU10 bulb (sold separately). Most users pair it with a 5-7W LED GU10 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for accent or task lighting, though halogen GU10 bulbs up to 50W are also compatible.

The fitting itself supports dimming when used with a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. If you plan to dim the spotlight, ensure both the bulb and the dimmer module are rated for GU10 LED dimming.

Can the head be angled?

Yes. The cylindrical brass head pivots on a brass-bushed joint, allowing the light beam to be directed across walls, onto surfaces below, or angled to illuminate specific areas of a room.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Emberfield is only suitable for dry indoor areas away from direct water contact. For bathrooms, shower rooms or other damp environments, choose a spotlight with an IP44 or IP65 rating.
