Description

A cable grip earns its keep by holding a suspension wire exactly where you set it, so a pendant sits at the height you chose and stays there. This one is a short chrome barrel, no wider than a fingertip, with a bright reflective finish that reads as a neat piece of hardware rather than an obvious lump on the wire. Being so small, it does not interrupt the vertical line of a drop, and the chrome sits comfortably against nickel, steel and other cool metal fittings.

We keep these to hand because so much pendant work needs them. A run of drops over a kitchen island has to be levelled by eye, and a grip lets you take up the slack until every shade lands where you want it. The same applies to a stairwell, where the fall is long and the wire needs shortening once you can see the effect from below.
