Description

A small round plate finished in black, 10cm across and shallow in profile, with a single opening at its centre for a pendant flex to pass through. It is the piece that finishes the top of a hanging light, closing off the ceiling connection and giving the flex a clean point to drop from. The proportions are deliberately modest: at this size the plate reads as a dark dot rather than a feature, which is usually what you want when the pendant below is doing the work.

We reach for this where a pendant needs to look deliberate: above a bedside, over a kitchen island, in a stairwell or a narrow hall. It suits anyone building a light from separate parts, pairing a cord set with a shade of their choosing, and it works just as well tidying the top of a pendant already in place.
