Description

The Elsa is a 25cm round glass pendant light with a dual-layer construction: an outer copper-toned glass sphere surrounds a frosted inner shade, with a single E27 bulb fitting suspended inside. Light passes through the inner frosted diffuser first, then glows through the metallic copper glass, creating a warm ambient wash with visible depth and tonal variation as the outer sphere picks up and reflects the light source.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands, hallways and bedroom bedside positions, the Elsa works as a single pendant over a small table or in clusters of two or three over larger surfaces. The 2350mm drop is adjustable during installation to suit different ceiling heights, typically hanging 600-900mm above a worktop or 700-800mm above a dining surface. The copper tone pairs comfortably with warm-toned interiors, industrial metal fixtures, natural wood and earthy colour palettes.

The dual-layer glass construction gives the fitting a 1.27kg presence without looking heavy when suspended. The copper finish is applied to the outer glass rather than a separate metal shell, so the entire sphere glows when the bulb is on rather than showing a hard edge between lit and unlit surfaces. The frosted inner shade softens the bulb filament and prevents glare, making the Elsa suitable for lower suspension heights where the bulb would otherwise be visible at eye level.

What bulb does the Elsa take?

The Elsa takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white LED (2700K-3000K) in the 6-10W range works well with the copper and frosted glass to create ambient light without glare.

Is the Elsa dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The dimmer must be rated for the bulb type you use (LED dimmers for LED bulbs, halogen dimmers for halogen bulbs). The pendant itself has no electronics. Dimming is controlled by the bulb and dimmer combination.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Elsa carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor locations. It is not suitable for bathroom zones where moisture or direct water contact may occur.

How is the cable length adjusted?

The 2350mm drop includes the suspension cable and canopy. During installation the cable can be shortened by looping excess inside the ceiling canopy or by cutting to the desired length (requires an electrician). The pendant cannot be lengthened beyond the supplied 2350mm.
