Elsa 17cm Glass Pendant Light - Clear & Frosted

The Elsa is a 17cm glass pendant light with a dual-layer construction: a clear outer glass cylinder encases a frosted inner diffuser, both suspended from a brushed metal canopy on a 2350mm adjustable cable. The pendant takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately), which sits inside the frosted inner layer to diffuse light while the clear outer layer allows the glow to project outward.

Designed for kitchen islands, hallways, and bathroom zones where IP ratings permit, the Elsa works as a single pendant over a small dining table or in multiples spaced 600-800mm apart along a kitchen worktop. The 170mm diameter and 2350mm drop suit standard 2.4m ceiling heights when hung 600-900mm above a surface. The dual-layer glass moderates brightness without blocking the bulb entirely, so a visible-filament LED or clear globe bulb shows through the frosted layer while the clear outer shell adds depth.

The outer glass is mouth-blown with a smooth finish, while the frosted inner layer is acid-etched rather than sandblasted, giving a more uniform diffusion. The combined glass weight of 1.21kg gives the pendant stability on the cable without requiring additional dampening. The E27 socket accepts LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to the wattage rating shown in the Specification tab, and dimmability depends on the bulb chosen and the dimmer unit fitted.

What bulb does it take?

The Elsa takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED globe bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K, or a visible-filament LED if the decorative bulb effect is wanted.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb and dimmer unit. Pair the Elsa with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible LED dimmer switch to achieve dimming. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim even with a dimmer fitted.

Can the cable be shortened?

The 2350mm cable is adjustable during installation. Excess cable can be looped inside the ceiling canopy or cut to length by a qualified electrician, allowing the pendant to hang at the required height above a worktop or table.

How is the glass cleaned?

The outer clear glass can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and glass cleaner. The frosted inner diffuser is accessible by removing the outer glass cylinder — check the fitting instructions for the removal method. Always switch off at the mains before cleaning.
