Description

Handed to the right, this one mirrors the left-hand version, and they read well used as a pair. Clear glass carries the light while polished chrome frames it, so the fitting stays bright on the wall without adding visual bulk. At 19cm across it is a small light that stands taller than it is wide, giving a slim upright shape and a shallow projection. It takes a G9 capsule behind the glass, rated up to 10W, and with a suitable lamp and dimmer on the circuit the level can be brought down.

We reach for handed lights like this where a wall wants balance rather than a single centre point: either side of a mirror, flanking a bed, or stepping along a hallway. It suits a dressing area or a small landing where a pendant would sit in the way, and the clear glass keeps a narrow space feeling open. Dry indoor rooms are its place, so a hall, sitting room or bedroom rather than a shower zone or an open porch. There is no switch on the fitting itself, so it runs from the wall switch or a dimmer serving the circuit.

Glass and chrome-finished metal make up the whole of it, and there is little else to the fitting, which is much of the appeal. Keep the glass clear with a dry microfibre cloth, and lift fingerprints from the chrome with the same cloth once the power is off and the lamp cold. It carries a one year warranty.
