Description

The Elipse is a 120cm LED pendant light built from two intersecting elliptical rings, each lined with an integrated LED strip and opal acrylic diffuser. The rings are constructed from brushed aluminium finished in rose gold, suspended from a matching rose gold ceiling canopy on adjustable cables. The integrated 100W LED delivers 4,144 lumens at 3000K, casting continuous, glare-free light through the opal diffusers that line the inner edge of each ring.

Designed for double-height hallways, open-plan living spaces, and dining areas with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the Elipse functions as both ambient lighting and a sculptural centrepiece. The suspension height is adjustable between 70cm and 120cm during installation, allowing the rings to be positioned 600-800mm above a dining table or lowered to fill a double-height entrance hall. Bluetooth dimming via smartphone app provides stepless control from full brightness down to a low-level glow, without needing to wire in a separate dimmer switch.

The two elliptical rings intersect at a shallow angle, creating a three-dimensional form that changes appearance depending on viewing position. From directly below, the rings overlap to form a geometric pattern; from the side, the depth and layering become apparent. The rose gold finish on the brushed aluminium provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with brass, copper and warm-toned timber interiors without the high reflectivity of polished finishes. At 3.6kg, the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or ceiling plate capable of supporting at least 5kg.

The Elipse uses Bluetooth dimming via smartphone app. Download the manufacturer's app, pair the light via Bluetooth, and control brightness from your phone. No separate wall dimmer is needed, though the light must remain powered at the wall switch for the Bluetooth connection to stay active.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 120cm width and 60cm depth suit rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher. The suspension height is adjustable between 70cm and 120cm, allowing the rings to be positioned above a dining table or lowered to fill a double-height space.

Can the suspension height be adjusted after installation?

Yes, but it requires accessing the ceiling canopy and re-threading the suspension cables. The height is best set during initial installation rather than adjusted frequently.

Is the rose gold finish reflective?

The brushed aluminium finish has a low-sheen satin texture rather than a mirror polish. It provides a warm metallic accent without the high reflectivity of polished brass or chrome, making it easier to integrate into rooms with multiple metal finishes.
