Description

The Elenor is a 425mm table lamp base built from six stacked cut crystal elements threaded onto a polished chrome stem, with a circular chrome plinth and an E27 fitting at the top. The lamp is sold without a shade, allowing the buyer to pair it with their preferred shade size and material. The chrome finish shown in the image is polished rather than brushed, giving a mirror-like reflectivity that amplifies light from the bulb and surrounding room.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and sideboards where a compact footprint is needed, the Elenor's 150mm circular base keeps the overall width narrow while the vertical stack of crystal elements gives visual interest without bulk. The lamp accepts any standard E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb. The shade fitting is a standard UK E27 thread, compatible with most drum, empire and coolie shades sold separately.

Each of the six crystal elements is faceted to catch and refract light, producing a scattered sparkle effect across walls and ceilings when the lamp is switched on. The crystal sits directly on the chrome stem with minimal framing, giving the appearance of a floating column of glass. The 2.2kg weight provides stability on flat surfaces without requiring a weighted base, and the proportions suit shades between 250-350mm diameter for balanced visual scale.

Does the Elenor come with a shade?

No. The lamp is sold as a base only, allowing you to pair it with your preferred shade. The E27 fitting accepts standard UK lamp shades with a matching E27 thread. Shades between 250-350mm diameter typically provide the best visual balance with the 150mm base diameter.

What bulb does it take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient bedside or console lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The lamp base itself does not include dimming controls — dimming is controlled at the wall switch or inline dimmer.

How is the crystal cleaned?

The cut crystal elements can be wiped with a soft, dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works well. Avoid soaking the chrome stem or using household sprays that may leave residue on the polished finish.
